Du coup, j'ai fait une recherche et j'ai trouvé ça :

And in a recent interview, several thoughts about the inspiration for the story were revealed. Some have only fuelled the rampant speculation even further but are nonetheless fun to discuss.

Nolan says he was seeking to craft "a portrayal of a city and the different strata of people living in it." He and his brother, co-writer Jonathan Nolan, told Entertainment Weekly they had been inspired by Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities and also the silent films of Fritz Lang, who is best known for his sci-fi classic Metropolis.

A Tale of Two Cities was published in 1859. It is set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution, when the working classes rebelled against the monarchy, aristocracy and Church to achieve social reforms. The 1927 film Metropolis also sees a socially-divided city where labourers want to fight for a better life.

Notably, Dickens' novel has a chapter called Fire Rises; a phrase that is spoken by The Dark Knight Rises villain Bane and has also been also used in the marketing campaign.

Reflecting the film's apparent portrayal of an uprising against authority, it had at one point been suggested that the Occupy Wall Street anti-capitalism protests would be featured in The Dark Knight Rises. Subsequently, actor Matthew Modine, who appears in the film as a character called Nixon, claimed that the filmmakers decided against it because it would "send a terrible message."

In the magazine article, however, Nolan denies that he had ever considered including the protesters. He says he had conceived the plot of the movie more than three years ago and obtained permission to film in New York nine months before the Wall Street gathering existed.

Nolan says: "The truth is that we wanted to shoot on Wall Street for the same iconic reasons that the Occupy movement chose that location: It is a symbol of American wealth and capitalism.

"In trying to tell a story of a self-made hero who is a multibillionaire, it raises certain issues that I do think are important in the world today, about the use and abuse of what is Bruce Wayne's only superpower: extraordinary wealth."

Clair. Déjà qu'il y a plus que Nolan pour faire des films comic book avec un angle, mais qui plus est intéressant...


bon sinon je me suis fait spoiler par une rumeur/théorie sur la fin en cherchant ces infos, j'ai l'impression de déjà tout savoir sur ce putain de film
