Un de mes fantasmes, j'aimerais tellement l'adapter cette BD, mais c'est hyper tendu de par le charisme de CHAQUE personnage et la puissance de narration propre à la BD. J'espère que ça va être passionnant putain!

Jason Patric et Lucy Punch interprèteront le duo de flics (un ex-super-héros et une meuf normale) dans l'adaptation de la très bonne BD de Bendis et Oeming, Powers, about cops on the beat dealing with crime in a world where superheroes are real.

Director Spike Lee, "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin, and writer John Ridley (THREE KINGS) will be coming together to bring a new dramatic series called "Da Brick" to life at HBO.

The series would be a modern exploration of black youth culture in our now so-called "post-racial" America, and would be loosely inspired by aspects of Mike Tyson's childhood.

Producer Doug Ellin says, "The initial idea was 'Entourage meets The Wire', an edgy story about an up-and-coming boxer and his crew that is much more dramatic than Entourage."

He’s already got a new drama series at HBO with More as This Story Develops on the way, but Aaron Sorkin is working on yet another project at the cable network now. THR reports The Social Network scribe and The Office star John Krasinski are developing a new miniseries at HBO called Life at the Marmont, based on the book of the same name by the infamous hotel owners Raymond R. Sarlot and Fred Basten. The landmark Chateau Marmont at the center of Hollywood has long been a popular location always drawing in the biggest names in film, television, music and literature. Apparently the series, which Krasinski which also have a role in, will have a series of interconnected stories of several different hotel guests over several generations.

Krasinski lives close to the hotel and often holds his meetings there. "I almost feel it's my extended living room," he quipped. It was after one such business meeting last fall that Krasinski found himself waiting at the hotel's valet line for almost half an hour. "I was staring at the hotel and wondered if there had ever been a project about it." He went home, did some research, which showed that nothing had been done about the Chateau Marmont on screen, so he set out to do a project "about the history of the Chateau Marmont in some fashion." He then thought of something else he hadn't seen onscreen, "the definitive history of Hollywood," and the two notions blended together into "the idea to tell the history of Hollywood using the Chateau Marmont as the epicenter." Krasinski quickly secured the rights to the hotel from Balazs and reached out to "the only person" he wanted to write the mini, Sorkin, who was then busy with the Oscar campaign for The Social Network but found the time to read Life At the Marmont and quickly said yes. “I don’t think there is a better writer than Aaron Sorkin," Krasinski said. "The fact that he would do this project with me, is one of the highest compliments of my career.” The mini, whose length is not set yet but is expected to be around eight hours, will span the entire history of the Chateau Marmont from the time it was built to present day. Krasinski, who is producing the project through his Sunday Night Prods., plans to take a role and hopes many of his colleagues will too. "My dream is to have a whole slew of great actors -- some very famous and some not famous at all, to make it an homage to Hollywood."

Dope, une série HBO de Todd Haynes avec Julianne Moore :

Julianne Moore est de retour avec un rôle principal, et cette fois ce n'est pas au cinéma mais à la télé : l'actrice vient en effet de signer pour une série adaptée d'un roman. Le projet, intitulé « Dope » (drogue), est tiré du livre de Sara Gran. Alors que Mad Men, l'une des séries phare de HBO, se déroule dans les années 1960, la chaîne se tourne cette fois vers une série qui dépeint les années 1950.

Dans Dope, Julianne Moore interprétera le rôle de Josephine Flannigan, une ancienne accro à l'héroïne devenue un peu par hasard détective privé à Manhattan. Au cours de ses recherches, elle sera amenée à (re)découvrir le New York de la drogue et de la prostitution, un milieu qu'elle a bien connu.

On en sait assez peu pour l'instant sur ce projet, si ce n'est que Sara Gran a participé à l'écriture du pilote. C'est le réalisateur Todd Haynes (I'm not there) qui dirigera cette série. C'est d'ailleurs lui aussi qui avait réalisé Mildred Pierce, une mini série diffusée au printemps 2011 sur la même chaîne, également adaptée d'un roman, et dont le rôle titre était aussi interprété par une actrice de cinéma, Kate Winslet. Mildred Pierce et son actrice ont reçu de nombreuses nominations pour les prochains Emmy awards ; on souhaite le même destin à Julianne Moore avec Dope.

French studio Gaumont has announced the creation of Gaumont International Television (GIT), marking its foray into worldwide television production and distribution.

A number of projects are already in development, including "Hannibal," a one-hour drama written by Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies).

"Hannibal" will center on Lecter's early days, namely his time going head-to-head with FBI agent Will Graham. The back story between the two characters were alluded to in Thomas Harris' novel "Red Dragon" and the films Manhunter and Red Dragon.

Martha De Laurentiis (Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon) will produce the show.

Montrer le premier face-à-face Lecter/Graham, traumatisant pour ce dernier, pourquoi pas mais bon...j'ai l'impression que chaque nouvelle aventure d'Hannibal est moins bonne que la précédente...et j'ai du mal à comprendre le choix de Fuller vu son passif (même s'il a également écrit sur Star Trek et Heroes).

Maté deux nouvelles séries comiques, NEW GIRL et 2 BROKE GIRLS.

Les deux sont plutôt classiques (surtout la seconde, en format sitcom, avec réa multi-cam et public qui rit) et tiennent principalement sur leurs actrices principales, Zooey Deschanel pour NEW GIRL et Kat Dennings pour 2 BROKE GIRLS.

C'est sympa, y a un pseudo-concept sympa pour 2 BROKE GIRLS révélé à la fin du pilote, mais je donnerai quand même l'avantage à NEW GIRL, sans doute un poil plus original, moins pré-fabriqué, même si c'est aussi une collection d'archétypes.
