Ne tirez pas dessus LOOOOOOOL Michael Bay is in talks to direct Ambulance, a remake of the 2005 Danish film from director Laurits Munch-Petersen. Chris Fedak has been attached as the screenwriter for this remake for a long while, it’s not expected for a new writer to be brought in. Fedak has mainly been a TV writer, known for writing episodes of Chuck, Legends of Tomorrow, and Prodigal Son. The original film follows a returned veteran from Afghanistan who is drawn by his brother into a bank robbery. When the robbery goes horribly wrong, the brothers take hostages and hijack an ambulance. As the situation escalates, old wounds reopen in the relationship between the brothers as they fight to survive what seems like an impossible situation. The original film is mainly set in one location in real time with minimal characters. If Michael Bay decides to sign on to direct, the film is expected to begin filming in late-January in Los Angeles making this Bay’s next directorial feature film. Sur le papier, c'est mortel. Un huis clos en temps réel dans un véhicule par Michael Bay? Je veux. Surtout que ce que laisse entendre le synopsis semble taillé pour lui : "Returned veteran from Afghanistan" = thème du soldat sacrifié "The robbery goes horribly wrong, the brothers take hostages" = gogolerie à la Pain & Gain "Old wounds reopen in the relationship between the brothers" = buddy movie (les Bad Boys, The Rock) et duo de mâles à réconcilier (Armageddon, Pearl Harbor) Après, quand on regarde la bande-annonce de l'original, on voit qu'ils sortent quand même pas mal du véhicule et qu'ils sont pas toujours en mouvement. Mais ça confirme la vibe Pain & Gain. Pour rappel : Bay avait été attaché à Phone Game mais voulait sortir de la cabine. |

Michael Bay is speeding along with his next project. The filmmaker will direct Ambulance, a contained thriller that has Jake Gyllenhaal in talks to star. The project is described as a three-hander that tells of two brothers that steal an ambulance that is already in a heightened state with a female paramedic and a patient who is in critical condition. Gyllenhaal would play the older brother. Sources say that Dylan O’Brien is circling the part of the younger brother and that Eiza Gonzalez is circling the role of the paramedic. Sources caution, however, that no deals have been made. Chris Fedak, known as a creator of Fox's Prodigal Son, penned the script, which is described as having elements of action-thrillers such as Speed and Training Day. Bay envisions the film as a character-driven project that will be a departure from his standard explosion-heavy fare. Endeavor Content is packaging Ambulance, which does not yet have a distributor, though Universal is in the mix to potentially pick it up. Il développait son Black 5 chez Sony mais comme le tournage de celui-ci est plus COVID-friendly, il prend la priorité. Je pensais jamais voir Gyllenhaal chez Bay. Pour le mec du Labyrinthe et la meuf de Baby Driver, c'est moins étonnant. |

All I wanted and more. Soldat sacrifié, check. Tandem antagoniste masculin, check. Hélicoptères, check. PLANS ABUSÉS, CHECK. On dirait le Bay le plus straightforward action flick depuis longtemps. Depuis THE ROCK? J'espère que le film sera à l'image de cette BA, énergique, sans gras, juste ce qu'il faut de drama. Et déjà tant de Bay Perfect Shots mashallah... Et sinon, Tony Scott a toujours été une influence évidente sur le travail mais ce trailer m'a vraiment beaucoup rappelé le cinéma du bonhomme. |

Un blockbuster non issu d'une bd ou d'un jeu vidéo ? C'est un ouf Michael. Évidemment que j'irai voir ça. |

Là c'est un remake toutefois...mais en vrai, c'est même pas un blockbuster, enfin je pense que ça coûte largement moins de 100M$. |
