Sujet du message:  The Destroyer (Shane Black)

In 1985 Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, which posited Fred Ward as a killing machine and Joel Grey as an old Asian man, came out.

It was based on the The Destroyer series of pulp novels, about a Newark detective who was framed for murder and whose execution was botched. Back from the dead, Remo Williams was snatched up by CURE, a top secret spy organization, and trained to take down any conceivable threat by Sinanju master Chiun. And the threats were often inconceivable, including androids, cyborgs, psychics, Rasputin and even Kali.

The movie wasn't a particularly faithful adaptation of the pulp novels - of which there are one hundred and fifty.

Shane Black probably isn't a huge fan of Remo Williams, but he is a huge fan of Remo Williams. And he's going to be reviving Williams - using The Destroyer title - at Sony. Fight Club screenwriter Jim Uhls is writing alongside original The Destroyer author James Mullaney. It's hard to imagine that Black won't put the script through his own typewriter at some point, really making the banter between Remo and Chiun shine.

And yes, Chiun will be in this version. I'm assuming there will be an Asian actor cast since this isn't the 80s anymore and that yellowface shit don't fly.

Donc un nouveau projet pour Black, avec un flic tué puis ressuscité et entraîné aux arts martiaux pour devenir espion.
