Sundowning is M. Night Shyamalan‘s return to the genre that made him a household name: the psychological thriller.

The director has been filming in his home state of Pennsylvania for a few weeks and documenting the experience on Twitter.
Now, a few more details about the film have been revealed.

Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers, Bad Words) and Ed Oxenbould (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) play a mother and son in the film.
Hahn plays a single mother whose two young children visit their grandparents… and things go very wrong. Oxenbould plays her son, who is protective of his sister.

Sundowning is believed to be a reference to Sundowners Syndrome, a mental condition where older people get anxious, angry, depressed or frightened with the sun goes down. The mention of grandparents in the above description suggests the film might have something to do with a supernatural element that proves people with sundowners have a very good reason for their problems when the sun is gone.

Curieux de le voir revenir à ça mais bon, si c'est du niveau de The Happening, c'est pas la peine.

Je ne trouve pas The Happening si dégueu en fait (mais j'ai l'impression d'être tout seul).
Il y a des beaux moments comme le dialogue à la fin a travers le jardin.

The Last Airbender m'a saôulé parcontre, ducoup je suis même pas aller voir le dernier.

Non, vous êtes quelques malades.

Enfin à l'époque, j'avais été gentil mais je garde le souvenir d'un truc quand même bien faible dans l'écriture.

Lol j'avais oublié ça :D . Non quand Walhberg est planqué dans la cave et qu'il parle à sa meuf qui est dans l'abris au fond du jardin.
En fait c'était vraiment ça pour moi, un film mou parcouru de belles scènes, les suicides entre autres.

Pour le coup je trouve The Last Airbender catastrophique et il mérite plus sa réputation.

Avoue, t'avais un peu kiffé quand même. Faut pas avoir honte.

Un 4/6 c'est presque pire qu'une mauvaise note, c'est la note du film que tu oublies, le film pas assez bon pour atteindre même le 4,5.

Et si je le revoyais, ça dépasserait pas le 3 je pense.

Je préfère le voir faire ça que son film avec Bruce Willis qui traverse les Etats-Unis à pied.

C'est rebaptisé The Visit et ça sort le 11 septembre 2015.

It tells the story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home grow smaller every day.

C'est une métaphore de la carrière de Night. "Something deeply disturbing" = After Earth. "Getting back home" = getting back on top of the box office.

Tout naze, ce changement de titre... Cette peur si actuelle des titres originaux pour les remplacer par les titres les plus génériques possibles.

Choix du chef op : Maryse Alberti (Happiness, Crumb, The Wrestler, beaucoup de docus...). Curieux de savoir si Newton Howard est de la partie, pas crédité pour le moment... 5 millions de budget.
