Sujet du message:  Oscars 2018

C'est l'heure de l'habituel prono un an à l'avance.

Parmi les nommés, on pourrait retrouver :

Downsizing (Alexander Payne, Paramount)
Avec Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig
A man and his wife who, deciding that their lives have gotten out of hand, decide to voluntarily have themselves shrunk down. Unfortunately for the man, his wife backs out at the last minute.

Dunkirk (Christopher Nolan, Warner Bros)
Avec Fionn Whitehead, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy
Allied soldiers from Britain, Belgium, Canada, and France are surrounded by the German Army on the beaches on Dunkirk and evacuated in Operation Dynamo between 26 May and 4 June 1940, during the early stages of the Second World War.

The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara (Steven Spielberg, Dreamworks)
Avec Oscar Isaac, Mark Rylance
The true story of a young Jewish boy in 1858 Italy who was secretly baptized by a family servant and then kidnapped from his family by the Papal States, where he was raised and trained as a priest.

Untitled Detroit Project (Kathryn Bigelow, Annapurna)
Avec John Boyega
A crime tale set against the 1967 Detroit riots.
Bigelow et Boal, 3e. The Hurt Locker et Zero Dark Thirty étaient nommés.

Untitled Fashion Project (Paul Thomas Anderson, Focus)
Avec Daniel Day-Lewis
A drama about a fashion designer who dictates taste in '50s London.

Darkest Hour (Joe Wright, Focus)
Avec Gary Oldman, Ben Mendelsohn
Winston Churchill leads a charge against Adolf Hitler's army in the early days of World War II.
Lui aussi, il a plus le mojo.

The Greatest Showman (Michael Gracey, Fox)
Avec Hugh Jackman
The story of American showman P.T. Barnum, founder of the circus that became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

The Current War (Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, The Weinstein Co)
Avec Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon
Electricity titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse compete to create a sustainable system and market it to the American people.
Le Imitation Game de cette année.

Tulip Fever (Justin Chadwick, The Weinstein Co)
Avec Christoph Waltz, Alicia Vikander
An artist falls for a young married woman while he's commissioned to paint her portrait during the Tulip mania of 17th century Amsterdam.

The Glass Castle (Destin Cretton, Lionsgate)
Avec Brie Larson, Naomi Watts, Woody Harrelson
A young girl comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who's an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children's imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty.
Deuxième long du réal de States of Grace.

Mary Magdalene (Garth Davis, The Weinstein Co)

Wonderstruck (Todd Haynes, Amazon Studios)
The story of a young boy in the Midwest is told simultaneously with a tale about a young girl in New York from fifty years ago as they both seek the same mysterious connection.
Julianne Moore et Michelle Williams au casting.

Roma (Alfonso Cuaron, Esperanto Filmoj)
A story that chronicles a year in the life of a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s.

Widows (Steve McQueen, New Regency)
When a crew of crooks are killed during a robbery, their widowed spouses pick up where they left off.
