Sources say talks are in early stages with Elgort, but it looks like a deal will come together after actors including Logan Lerman and John Boyega chased the part.

Edgar Wright, qui termine le tournage de l'adaptation de la BD Scott Pilgrim, choppe encore un nouveau projet. "I’d like to make Baby Driver next if possible. It's a wild spin on the action and crime genre which will be set in the US.” Et apparemment, il le ferait en secret avant l'adaptation d'Ant-Man et avant son 3e film avec Simon Pegg/Nick Frost, The World's End. Mmmmm. |

Et donc ça serait finalement ça son prochain. I’m hearing that Edgar Wright has found his next film, after stepping away from Marvel’s Ant-Man. Wright’s looking to next direct Baby Driver for Working Title Films. The project, which Wright wrote, is described to me as a collision of crime, action, music and sound. Working Title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are producing with Nira Park. This is all happening on a fast track, and I will keep you posted as more details emerge. It isn’t at a studio yet, but Working Title’s deal is at Universal and so it seems natural that the film will be made there or by Focus Features, which released World’s End. Un projet original plutôt qu'une adaptation? Meilleur remplacement possible. |

According to The Tracking Board, the story follows Baby, a baby-faced, “music-obsessed, quiet young man who works as the driver for a rotating group of bank robbers and finds himself on the run when things go sour.” |

Vu ce que Wright a fait sur Scott Pilgrim, ça évoque tout de suite quelque chose tandis que le Carnahan n'a aucune particularité. |

Drew McWeeny : I've also read a big fistful of scripts over the holidays, mainly for (...) things that are in development that have me intensely curious. Top of that list? Edgar Wright's "Baby Driver." All I'll say about it is that it made me ridiculously happy, and no one else on Earth could have come up with it other than Edgar. It is a musical, but a brand-new kind of musical. Seriously. It's going to be stupid how beautiful this movie could be. |
